Douglas on Walking holiday on Isle of Man
Day 1: Arrive Douglas, Isle of Man    
You start this hiking tour on the Isle of Man by arriving in Douglas. There are ferry services from Liverpool and Heysham, or you can fly into Isle of Man airport.
Steam train on walking Holiday on Isle of Man
Day 2: Ballasalla to Douglas    15, 10 or 5 miles, moderate   Max height gain 300ft
You take the steam train to Ballasalla and then walk back to Douglas along the coastal footpath, 15 miles. Shorter options are available from Santon for a 10 mile walk, Port Soderick for a 5 mile walk, or strolling around Ballasalla and Castletown and taking the train back to Douglas.
Castletown on Walking Holiday on Isle of Man
Day 3: Port Mary to Castletown    7 miles, easy
You take the steam train to Port Mary and then walk to Castletown along the coastal footpath. On reaching Castletown you can explore the castle before taking the steam train back to Douglas.
Port Erin on Walking holiday on Isle of Man
Day 4: Port Erin to Port Mary    7 miles, strenuous    Max height gain 1,434ft
You take the steam train to Port Erin and then walk around the peninsular to Port Mary, with optional visit to Calf of Man. On reaching Port Mary you take the steam train back to Douglas.

Day 5: Laxey to Douglas    10, 8 or 3 miles, easy
You take the electric railway to Laxey and then walk back to Douglas along the coastal footpath, 10 miles. Shorter options are available from Baldrine for an 8 mile walk, or Groudle Glen for a 3 mile walk.
Snaefell Mountain Railway on Walking holiday on Isle of Man
Day 6: Day exploring Laxey and Snaefell
You take the electric railway to Laxey and spend the day exploring the Laxey Valley and the Laxey Wheel, with optional trip on the mountain railway to Snaefell, the highest point on the Isle of Man at 621 metres (2,037 ft). At the end of the day you take the electric railway back to Douglas.

Day 7: Ramsey to Laxey    13, 7, 6, or 3 miles, moderate  Max height gain 650ft
You take the electric railway to Ramsey and then walk to Laxey along the coastal footpath, 13 miles. Shorter options are available from Ballajora for a 7 mile walk to Laxey, Ballaglass for a 6 mile walk to Laxey, or Dhoon Glen for a 3 mile walk to Laxey. From Laxey you take the electric railway back to Douglas.
